If you prefer to have acrylic nails applied during pregnancy, this too, is probably safe. Although small amounts of acrylic chemicals may be absorbed through the skin during the process, it is virtually impossible that they would reach or harm your baby. Changed body chemistry, however, means that you may have an allergic reaction to the nails and have to deal with a skin rash.
